About MyWeddingKit
We build digital wedding planning tools for couples who want a stunning wedding without the $3,500 planner bill. Available in the US, UK, Canada, and Australia.
Who writes our content
Articles are produced by the MyWeddingKit Editorial Team, a small team that builds digital wedding planning tools and writes about how to plan a stunning wedding without the planner bill. We combine published wedding industry research (The Knot, WeddingWire, Zola, Brides) with analysis of real wedding budgets shared by couples using the MyWeddingKit toolkit. Every post is reviewed before publishing.
Our research approach
We work with data, not opinions. Every budget breakdown, timeline, and vendor recommendation in our content is grounded in either:
- Published wedding industry research from The Knot Real Weddings Study, WeddingWire Newlywed Report, Zola First Look, and similar sources, with direct inline citations.
- Anonymized analysis of real wedding budgets shared by couples using the MyWeddingKit toolkit. Aggregated only, never published individually.
- Real-world testing of every script, checklist, and template against documented vendor pricing patterns before it ships. We share aggregated learnings, not invented metrics.
Why we exist
The average couple spends $33,000 on a wedding (The Knot 2025 Real Weddings Study) and 24% go over budget. Most planning tools assume you have a planner or a $50,000+ budget. We built MyWeddingKit for couples who want a stunning wedding without the planner bill, everything in spreadsheets and PDFs you actually use, not a vague inspiration board.
How we use AI
We use AI tools to research, draft, and structure articles, then review every post for accuracy and add our own analysis before publishing. This is documented per Google's helpful-content guidance on transparency. Read the full process on our methodology page.
